Taking care of your lawn is something that we can never ease out of doing. If so, you won’t have the most attractive looking lawn on the block. But there are ways to make it not so tedious. So in this post, I plan to discuss how to do your lawn with ease making your job a lot more enjoyable.
Your First Option
The easiest way is to hire someone to come out and cut your lawn on a schedule ensuring that it is maintaining at the proper height and is never allowed to grow so tall that you end up cutting off more of the blade than you should.
Depending on the type grass you have, the cutting height should be around 2 to 3 inches. But when cutting you want to avoid cutting off more than 1/3 on the grass blade. This can put your lawn under stress and it has to work hard at recovering.
Hiring a lawn maintenance service will ensure your lawn is on a regular cut schedule which will help you prevent these type of things from happening.
Your Second Option
As you would have guessed, do it yourself. If you are going to do it yourself you should know to have your equipment serviced and you should have drained all the gas out of the equipment for the off-season storage.
The most important part of this is to make sure your equipment is operational and the blades are nice and sharpened for a clean cut on your grass blades.
A lot of people like getting out there and doing their own lawns over hiring someone or they have kids they assign that chore to. Either way, you have to keep a good cutting schedule and make sure you are cutting properly it as well.
Ways To Make Lawn Work Easy
The first step to making it easy is to keep the cutting schedule in place because it will lessen the amount of work on weed-eating and the need to edge. Your lawn will love you for it. It will display a more turf like look this way.
Also make sure you have all you need when you start so you don’t have to stop and go to get things like weedeater string, gas & oil. I don’t know about you, but if I can get out there and cruise through it that makes it easier for me.
This next way I am going to speak on is definitely a plus for the homeowner who does his own yard.
I have to use gas equipment for my business because I might do 3 or 4 yards a day. But if you are only doing your own lawn, lithium powered equipment will make your job easier in quite a few ways.
If you choose to use lithium powered equipment you eliminate the servicing cost that is needed for gas equipment. And you won’t have to make sure you got gas and oil prior to starting.
Lithium equipment is much lighter than gas equipment making it physically easier to maneuver around obstacles and it stores easier when not in use. The one thing I like is the ease of starting by just a push of a button.
There are many good manufacturers like EGO, Kobalt, Greenworks, Black & Decker, Sun Joe and many others that have great products. EGO is considered the leader in equipment power and battery life. Click Here to view some of the equipment that is available.
If you have not considered trying lithium powered equipment but you plan on doing your own lawn, you should take a look at the video below.
Either way that you choose to take care of your lawn this season, make it easier on yourself by keeping it maintained on a regular schedule. If you want to reduce the physical strain on yourself try lithium powered lawn equipment.
And most definitely if you are trying to be eco-friendly convert to lithium powered equipment because you will not be using gas or oils.
Or you can call someone like myself who will routinely come out and cut it for you every 10 to 14 days depending on the rainfall which determines how fast your lawn grows.
I hope this was some valuable information for you and if there are any questions please let me know in the comments section and I will do my best to make any concerns clear.
